A MUSHROOM WALK

Pine Brook Preserve, Haddam Neck
Amazon guide and mycologist Gerry Miller will walk with us in search of mushrooms. This will be a unique chance to learn about mushrooms from an expert on the subject.
Bring a basket or bowl for collection!
Directions: Pine Brook Road is approximately 5 miles south of Cobalt on Route 151. It is a little over a mile north of the Route 151 Salmon River bridge, when coming from the south. Follow Route 151 to Pine Brook Road and go to the end of the road.
FULL MOON RIVER PADDLE
Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 5:30 pm (2-3 hour program)
Meet at the Haddam Meadows State Park boat launch at 5:30 pm.
Canoes and kayaks welcome!
Bring some campfire food. Weather allowing, we should have an easy, short paddle and a good time telling tales around the campfire.
LIFE JACKETS ARE MANDATORY AND MUST BE WORN!
Rain, snow, heavy winds, floods, hail and/or thick lava flows will be cause for cancellation.

FALL FOLIAGE WALK

Beaver Ledges Preserve, Ruth Hill Road, Haddam
The terrain is hilly but not too difficult. They may be wet ground. This walk is for adults and children with a moderate level of fitness and some walking experience. Wear appropriate footwear and clothing for a forested and wetland walk.
Directions: Traveling south on Saybrook Road, just past the Route 82 highway ramp, take a right onto Dudley Clark Road, then a right onto Old Chester Road. Old Chester Road becomes Ruth Hill Road. Follow to the highway overpass, about 1.5 miles. Park beyond the overpass before the one lane gravel road. We will meet just beyond the overpass.
