We engage in and promote, for the benefit of the residents of the town of Haddam, Connecticut, the preservation of natural resources of the Town, including water resources, marshlands, swamps, woodlands, and open spaces, and the plant and animal life therein, and the preservation of unique historical and scenic sites. BOTANICAL WALK with Connecticut Botanical Society
Shopboard Rock
The Haddam Land Trust acquired Shopboard Rock in 2025.
We will examine the flora, including pitch pine and American chestnut.
Meet at the parking area on Maynard Road. Take Boulder Dell from Saybrook Road, turn right, then turn left on Maynard Road.
Wear sturdy shoes, bring water and bug spray.
